Happy New Year…only 2 weeks late!

You may be wondering where I disappeared the past two months. I decided to take my own advice. I was feeling a bit burnt out. I worked through some of my vacation time during the year, and holidays and family are so stressful. As much as I enjoy this little creative outlet, it was just one of many things I was trying to do during the holidays. I know all of you can relate.

I simplified what I was doing and how we were celebrating. Instead of stressing about how things looked, I pared down decorations, simplified the menus, and changed the gift-giving, which is usually just exchanging gift cards. We tried some of the gift exchange games and had so much fun. It ended up being a very relaxing and fun time. I took the week between Christmas and New Year’s to relax, recharge, and read.

Coming off the holidays, I had some work travel for our national sales meeting. There isn’t anything more motivating than spending time with your colleagues to celebrate each other’s achievements of the past year and plan for the new one.

I’m excited about all the possibilities 2024 holds. I have a number of personal and professional goals for this year, and I’m sure all of you do as well. Some of them will require patience and baby steps, and others will require stepping out of my comfort zone. All of them are going to require consistency. I’m hoping you, too, are as excited for 2024 as I am.

I look forward to sharing this next year will all of you!

Michelle
